Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Cleaning of parks and green belts in the city is going on at a fast pace. In view of spring, cultivation of flowering plants has also started in public parks and green belts,
DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that PHA is playing a key role in the beautification and cleanliness of Rawalpindi city.
He said that due to the lack of rains in winter, special focus has been placed on plants so that greenery can be maintained in the parks.
Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that growing flowering plants on green belts gives a feeling of joy in spring, PHA is making every effort to provide quality recreational facilities to the citizens.
Apart from this, the work of cleaning various parks in the city is also going on vigorously. PHA is striving to make Rawalpindi the most beautiful and greenest city in Punjab.
Ahmed Hassan Ranjha noted that PHA has initiated special measures to maintain greenery of public parks and green belts in Rawalpindi midst scarcity of rains.
He added that sprinkle water devices are being in used for parks to water the plans and grounds in public parks.
