Toronto, Canada: On Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) call, an event was held in Toronto, Canada, echoing protests worldwide against the alleged election rigging in Pakistan. PTI’s central leader, Sardar Sadaqat Hayat, addressed the gathering, holding the establishment and the PDM-led government responsible for the country’s economic and political turmoil.
Sardar Sadaqat Hayat accused the ruling authorities of stealing the people’s mandate in the February 8, 2024 elections, labeling it as the worst electoral fraud in history. He asserted that the corrupt government was imposed on the nation with the establishment’s backing and that Pakistan’s people would not be silenced by force.
A large number of PTI Canada leaders and workers attended the protest, condemning the ongoing crackdown on PTI supporters, media censorship, and human rights violations in Pakistan. The protesters urged the international community to take immediate action against the suppression of political dissent.
Other speakers at the event declared that those who stole the people’s votes have been exposed globally and that public power will soon dismantle the oppressive regime. The attendees also strongly condemned the arrests of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and other PTI leaders, vowing to continue their protest movement with full force.
