    OPF organizes a cheque distribution ceremony at its Head Office in Islamabad

    Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) organized a cheque distribution ceremony at its Head Office in Islamabad to provide financial assistance and dues recovery cheques to the families of overseas Pakistanis. During the event, cheques were distributed to the legal heirs of deceased overseas Pakistanis and individuals facing financial hardships due to disability.

    Speaking on the occasion, OPF Managing Director, Mr. Mohammed Afzaal Bhatti, reaffirmed OPF’s unwavering commitment to support overseas Pakistanis and their families. He stated, “Our primary mission is to stand by overseas Pakistanis in difficult times and provide them with the necessary financial assistance. We will continue to strengthen our welfare initiatives to serve them better.” He also announced that widows in need of financial support would also receive sewing machines through collaboration with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal to help them generate income.

    Chairman, OPF Board of Governors, Syed Qamar Raza, emphasized that OPF is more than just an institution—it is a family for overseas Pakistanis. He stated, “Overseas Pakistanis and their families are like family members to us. We are dedicated to ensuring their welfare and rights. OPF will enhance its financial assistance programs and work towards increasing benefits for them. Additionally, we are exploring options with insurance companies to provide better financial security for overseas Pakistanis and their dependents.” He further assured that OPF would continue expanding its services to address the evolving needs of overseas Pakistanis.

    In this phase of disbursement, OPF has distributed a total of Rs. 204.97 million, including Rs. 186.7 million in financial assistance and Rs. 18.27 million in dues recovery cheques. During today’s event, 38 financial assistance cheques worth Rs. 15.2 million and 8 dues recovery cheques were handed over, while the remaining 429 cheques have been dispatched to OPF Regional Offices for distribution across the country.

    The event concluded with a strong commitment from OPF leadership to continue supporting overseas Pakistanis and their families, ensuring their financial well-being and addressing their concerns with dedication and care.
