    Mazhar Hussain Thathal meets Ambassador of Zimbabwe H.E Titus M.J Abu- Basutu Strengthens Trade Relations with Zimbabwe in Key trade Sectors

    Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Mazhar Hussain Thathal, Chairman and CEO of the Global Trade & Expo Center, met with His Excellency Titus M. J. Abu Basutu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to Pakistan, to discuss expanding bilateral trade relations. The meeting, held at the Embassy of Zimbabwe in Islamabad, in the presence of Liaqat Ali, Director of International Trade at the Global Trade & Expo Center Pakistan

    The discussions focused on enhancing economic cooperation across sectors such as agriculture, textiles, construction, dairy, and meat, as well as exploring opportunities in other trade fields.

    Mr. Thathal highlighted Pakistan’s strengths in producing high-quality agricultural products, advanced textile manufacturing, and innovative construction solutions. He expressed the Global Trade & Expo Center’s dedication to creating platforms where businesses from Pakistan and Zimbabwe can collaborate to drive mutual economic growth.

    H.E. Titus M. J. Abu Basutu acknowledged the potential for Zimbabwe to benefit from Pakistan’s expertise and offered insights into Zimbabwe’s robust agricultural and natural resource sectors. He emphasized the importance of collaborative ventures, particularly in food security, technology transfer, and skill development.

    Liaqat Ali, Director of International Trade, discussed the importance of facilitating direct trade links to reduce barriers and enhance the efficiency of trade flows. He also stressed the need for joint ventures in livestock and meat processing industries, which could benefit both nations.

    The meeting concluded with a commitment to foster strategic partnerships, increase trade volumes, and explore joint opportunities in untapped sectors. Both parties expressed enthusiasm about organizing trade delegations and expos to further strengthen economic ties.

    This dialogue reflects the shared vision of Pakistan and Zimbabwe to leverage their unique strengths for mutual benefit, paving the way for a prosperous trade partnership.
