Islamabad ,  (Parliament Times)  : The Foundation Art Divvy, in partnership with the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, is set to host the fourth edition of the Divvy Film Festival on December 14-15, 2024, at the Jaun Elia Lawn. This year’s festival will present 17 films, including feature films, short films, and documentaries, focusing on themes of resilience, women empowerment, cultural narratives, and societal challenges.

Returning to Pakistan after successful editions in Lahore, Islamabad, and London, the festival continues its mission to spotlight unique South Asian stories. Zahra Khan, Creative Director of Foundation Art Divvy, highlighted the importance of the event, saying, “The Divvy Film Festival has been an exceptional journey, celebrating the vibrancy and resilience of South Asian cinema. Each film featured reflects the distinct voice and perspective of the filmmaker, giving audiences a chance to engage with the many shades of our region’s identity. Our collaboration with the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi marks an important milestone in this journey as we bring these powerful stories to this dynamic city.”

The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, recognized for fostering arts and culture, serves as the local partner, hosting this celebration of cinematic diversity and heritage. The festival will run from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM on both days, inviting audiences to experience the richness of independent South Asian cinema.
