Anti-encroachments campaign, cleanliness drive in lake city of Mirpur-AJK launched:
MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain here Thursday directed the officers of the Mirpur-AJK Municipal Corporation to work on an emergency basis for the cleanliness of the city.
“No sanitary worker of the Municipal Corporation will be allowed to work in the houses of the officials of the Municipality “, the Commissioner expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the district administration and municipal corporation officers.
The meeting, was attended among others by Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz, Assistant Commissioner Raja Zahid Hussain, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Chaudhry Mugheeth Riaz, Municipal State Officer Chaudhry Muhammad Fayaz and Information Officer Muhammad Javed Malik and officials of other concerned law enforcement agencies.
The Div. Commissioner continued that the work of cleaning the city roads, streets should strictly be streamlined and taken from the sentry workers.
“Immediate stringent action should be taken against the illegal encroachments by not allowing obstacles to be created for the public by parking carts in the city”, the Commissioner ordered.
Cleanliness of the city is the primary responsibility of the Municipal Corporation. Do not be careless. All possible steps should be taken regarding the beauty of Mirpur city.
Commissioner Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain said “Municipal Corporation Mirpur is the largest corporation of Azad Kashmir and Mirpur city is of special importance in the state” In order to make the campaign of cleanliness a success, cleanliness work should be taken from all the sanitary workers and the work of the sentry workers should be visible on the ground.
“Sanitation drive should be monitored and the cleanliness staff should not ever be found careless in any way.
He directed thar the the city roads, streets should be cleaned on a daily basis and a regular report should be inked for onward submission to the higher authorities.
He advised the concerned that every atyempt to create obstacles through placing carts and stalls on the roads of the city should be strictly prevented.
“Regarding the carts, only a specific place should be determined in the city. On this occasion, the officials of the district administration and the municipal corporation assured the house that all the instructions regarding cleanliness and elimination of encroachments will be implemented in letter and spirit.
