SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: The account offices in South Waziristan’s Lower and Upper two districts have been non-functional for two weeks, causing disruption in financial affairs and government services.
This has affected daily financial affairs and important government works, leading to serious problems for local people and government institutions.

Financial aid, office-related services, and government affairs are being interrupted, and people’s frustration is increasing. Elected representatives have remained silent on this issue, which is not only affecting public services but also creating distrust and frustration among the people.

Wazir and Mehsud tribal elders have urged on Saturday the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take immediate steps for the restoration of the account office.
They want public services to return to normal and are calling on MNA and MPAs to raise their voices on this issue so that it can be resolved as soon as possible.

District Accounts Office officials have stated that the accounts offices have been temporarily shifted to Dera Ismail Khan due to security concerns.

This has caused problems, and according to Accounts Office sources, both districts of South Waziristan Lower and Upper will again run administrative affairs from Tank district after the situation returns to normal.

Two weeks ago, the District Accounts Office in South Waziristan Lower and Upper South Waziristan was attacked by terrorists, resulting in the martyrdom of one policeman and injury to another. Due to this, the accounts offices of both districts were shifted to Dera Ismail Khan.

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has not yet commented on the situation. However, the Accounts offices of the two Districts South Waziristan Lower and Upper have stated that they are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

The non-functionality of account offices in South Waziristan’s Lower and Upper districts has caused significant disruption in financial affairs and government services. The government needs to take immediate steps to restore the account offices and ensure that public services return to normal. The silence of elected representatives on this issue is concerning, and they must raise their voices to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
