London, (PR) : A special ceremony was held outside Rochdale Town Hall to pay tribute to the soldiers, women and children who sacrificed their lives for the defense of Great Britain in the First and Second World Wars. Flowers were also placed. the military band also gave a parade and salute – Maulana Irfan Chishti offered a special prayer for the first time in the prayer ceremony. On this occasion, Mayor Rochdale Councilor Shakeel Ahmed, Member of British Parliament Paul Waugh, Rochdale Leader Neil Emont – Chief Superintendent of Police Danny Ingles – Councilor Faisal Rana – Councilor Iram Faisal – Councilor Samina Zaheer – Councilor Farooq Ahmed – Javed Akhtar Freedom of Baru – Councilor Shah Wazir – Ghulamul Rasool Shehzad – Sohail of Royal Air Force – Former Mayor Ali Ahmed – besides other leading personalities and locals. Community participation: Member of Parliament Paul Waugh said the community of Rochdale turned out in large numbers to pay tribute to the service of former and current soldiers, reaffirming that there is no war in the future. Rather, let the world be the cradle of peace. Mayor Rochdale Councilor Shakeel Ahmed said that countless people from Britain and the Commonwealth sacrificed their lives to ensure Britain’s defense in World Wars I and II. We got together.
