India’s attempt to bring about demographic change in Kashmir is a violation of Geneva Convention: Usman Zafar Butt

Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : India has continuously ignored the UN resolutions on Kashmir. It will be late. These views were expressed by the candidate Assembly Valley 03 Usman Zafar Butt Advocate while talking about November 6. He said that India’s attempt to bring about demographic change in Kashmir is a violation of the Geneva Convention. Usman Zafar Butt Advocate further submitted that Article 85 (4) (a) of Additional Protocol 1 of 1977 provides that the transfer by an Occupying Power of parts of its civilian population to the territory occupied by it is a violation of this Protocol. It is a serious violation. November is the unfortunate month that during this month in 1947, the army of Dogra ruler Hari Singh and the riotous mob of armed groups and paramilitary troops massacred around 4 lakh Kashmiri Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir region. November 1947 Kashmiri Muslims are celebrating Jammu Martyrs’ Day every year on November 6 to commemorate the brutal massacre of Jammu and express solidarity with the martyrs of Jammu.
