LARKANA : Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) under the WAPDA department has decided to continue the grand operation against electricity thieves and non-payers despite the holidays on Saturday and Sunday. In the leadership of Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Ratodero, Baqrani, Dokri, small and big cities, towns and villages, together with the active staff of SEPCO, a grand operation was conducted against electricity thieves and non-payment of electricity bills, in which thousands of illegal connections were cut. Speaking to the media on this occasion, SEPCO Sukkur Superintendent Engineer Shah Mohammad Bajkani said that there is a debt of 42 billion rupees to eliminate electricity thieves and non-depositors, for which the grand operation will be continued. He added that the ongoing campaign against electricity thieves During the operation from September 2023 till now, we have filed 1600 cases against those who did not pay the dues of 880 rupees and departmental allowances. He has given them different punishments. He said that the electricity consumers are requested to install electricity meters and regularize their electricity connections, otherwise legal action will be taken.
