Lahore, (PR) : The Punjab Employees Social Security Institution has added up 27 new, state of the art, equipped with latest medical equipment, ambulances in its already existing ambulances service, specifically deputed to shift the secured workers and their dependents from home to hospitals and from dispensaries to hospitals. In this regard an ambulance handing over ceremony was arranged in Social Security Teaching Hospital Multan Road, lahore in which Minister for Labour and Human Resource Department Mr. Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar participated as a chief guest while Secretary Labour Mr. Naeem Ghous, Commissioner PESSI Mr. Muhammad Ali, Chairman LWMC Malik Bilal Qaiser, and others also graced the occasion held on Thursday morning.
While talking on this occasion, Minister for Labour & HR Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar stated that the current Punjab Government, under the vision of the Chief Minister, had been taking all possible steps to improve the lives of laborers and their dependents. “It is happiest moment that 27 more ambulances had been added in the PESSI ambulances service after one decade after the current government’s intervention” he added
He also mentioned that the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution is constructing new hospitals across Punjab, including in Kasur which groundbreaking ceremony will take place in upcoming month. Furthermore, Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar disclosed that the infrastructure of existing medical facilities are also being upgraded.
During the ceremony, a demonstration was presented on providing first aid to patient before shifting to a ambulance. Finally, the keys to the new ambulances were handed over to the Medical Superintendents of the concerned hospitals.
