Lahore (PR) : Punjab Governor, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan today administered oath to Ayesha Hamid as Ombudsman Punjab here at Governor House Lahore. Ayesha Hamid is the first woman to hold the post of Ombudsman of Punjab. Secretary Implementation and Coordination, Rafafat Ali Niswana read out the notification of appointment of Ombudsman Punjab.
Former Provincial Ombudsman, Major (retd) Azam Sulaiman, former Governor Punjab, Shahid Hamid, former federal minister Zahid Hamid, principal secretary to Governor Punjab, Captain (retd) Saqib Zafar, chairman NHA Shahryar Sultan, Jahanzeb Khan and others attended ceremony.
Meanwhile, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan attended the IT Symposium event at Governor House Lahore as Chief Guest. The event was organized in collaboration with Dr. Jahangir Badar, Institute of Vision and Leadership and Tech Titans Pakistan.
Addressing the ceremony, Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider Khan said that there are many opportunities to progress in the IT sector. He said that our youth are very talented, adding that youth should get IT and technical education so that they may be able to get jobs after completing their studies. Governor Punjab said that the services of youth tech leaders to create employment opportunities for the youth and promote IT exports are commendable. Governor Punjab said that the youth has an important role in the development of the country. At the end of the ceremony, Governor Punjab also gave appreciation shields to the tech CEOs.
Founder Dr. Jahangir Badr, Institute of Vision and Leadership, Zulfiqar Ali Badr, CEO of Tech Titans Pakistan Hasan Raza and CEOs of renowned IT companies besides Azeem Akram, Owais Ashar, Rafi, Salman Majeed, Bilal, Jawad, Sharif, Abdul Basit, Musa Raza, Hameed Saeed and Sadiq Sabir were present in the ceremony.
