Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : The formal commemoration of the 19th anniversary of the 2005 earthquake martyrs have started. Under the leadership of DGSDMA Masoodur Rahman Awan, flag march was organized across the city, the flag march started from Upper Adda Lal Chowk. In addition to the heavy machinery used during the disaster in the flag march, administration 1122, civil defense organization, boys scouts, girls guides, highway, public health, municipality, Muzaffarabad development agency, political, social, religious, commercial, public, academic and literary circles. And students and teachers of educational institutions participated in large numbers. On this occasion, the administration participated in the flag march by taking fire vehicles, water cannons, cranes, ambulances, hearse vans, sewage machines and other heavy modern machinery. Talking to said that on the occasion of the 19th anniversary, we are on a mission to prepare the nation to deal with natural disasters. He said that what we did not have at that time in the tragedy of October 8, we are ready to face such tragedies today in the context of the wonderful policies of the government. The main purpose of today’s flag march is to raise the awareness among the people that they should prepare themselves to be safe from such future tragedies. DG SDMA Masoodur Rahman Awan further said that the government of Azad Kashmir is making more efforts to be safe from natural calamities. Sikandar Nisar Gilani, Chief Officer Sahibzada Zulfikar Alam, Project Director Syed Shakeel Gilani, Tax Officer Jameel Afghani, Nazimin Kausar, Raja Nauman Director SDMA, Saeed Qureshi SHO Police Station City Raja Sohail Khan and others while talking to the media. He said that the Municipal Corporation of Muzaffarabad and other institutions express their condolences to the families of the earthquake victims and assure the citizens that they are fully prepared to deal with any tragedy in the context of October 8. Collaborate with organizations to protect your city from natural disasters and ensure urban safe construction to survive natural disasters.
