The Afghan Taliban suspended the anti-polio campaign Kabul: WHO says that the anti-polio campaign has been suspended by the Afghan Taliban. According to the report of a foreign news agency, the suspension of door-to-door anti-polio campaign by the Afghan Taliban has been declared a devastating blow by the United Nations. The United Nations says that the spread of this fatal disease has never stopped in Afghanistan, and this decision of the Taliban will have a major impact on the region and other countries. WHO has confirmed eighteen cases of polio in Afghanistan this year. It should be noted that compared to last year, six additional polio cases were recorded this time. Dr. Hamid Jafari, who is associated with the World Health Organization,, said he is aware of recent policy discussions in six parts of Afghanistan to move vaccinations to mosques and other locations instead of door-to-door polio vaccinations.
