ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : General Secretary of People’s Traders Cell Naveed Kanwal said that the date of submission of income tax return and property tax should be extended by one month.Majority of people have been unable to submit due to severe downturn in business and unclear tax policy.
Naveed Kanwal, Secretary of People’s Traders Cell, expressed these views in a statement.He said that due to ambiguity in FBR’s tax policies, taxpayers could not submit returns.The government should encourage and facilitate those who already pay tax by collecting tax from tax evaders.Due to the business downturn, the majority could not even collect the property tax, the provincial government extended the date till October 31, 2024.
