Karachi, (PR) : One more match was decided on the second day of the fourth round of the PCB Senior Inter-District Cricket Tournament Karachi Region. Zone VI defeated Zone Vll by an innings and 97 runs. Batting first at KCCA Stadium, Zone Vll scored 257 runs in 74,1 overs. Arbaz Khan Scored 82 runs,Abdul Rahman 47, Kashif Ali 30, Muhammad Nafay 29 and Jehanzeb Sultan scored 25 runs, Fayyaz Hussain took 4 wickets while Saad bin Yusuf took 3 wickets. In reply, Zone Vll was bowled out for 100 runs in their first innings. Mehmood Shah’s 43 runs gave some resistance to the bowlers of Zone Vl. Off-spinner Razaul Hasan bowled devastatingly and took five wickets with 21 runs. Saifullah and Muhammad Tariq Khan dismissed 2 players each.
After the follow-on, Zone Vll once again looked helpless in front of the devastating bowling of the bowlers of Zone Vl and the entire team got out after scoring 60 runs in 30.5 overs.In this innings also Mehmood Shah played a resistance innings of 27 runs. Left arm leg spinner Tariq Khan was devastating. While bowling, taking 6 wickets and taking 8 wickets in the match, Razaul Hasan took two wickets and took 7 wickets in the match. Zone six is leading the group with 30 points.
