Larkana : A seminar on tree planting was organized in the main Arija campus of the Martyr Benazir Bhutto Medical University, in which Prof. Fateh Muhammad Marri, vice chancellor of Sindh Agricultural University, Tando Jam, participated as a special guest while the seminar was presided over by Benazir Medical University. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nusrat Shah and on the other hand, agricultural experts Prof. Noor Nisa Memon, Prof. Inayatullah Rajpar and Forest Department Officer Arshad Haider were among the appointees.
Addressing the seminar, Vice Chancellor of Sindh Agricultural University, Tando Jam, Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri said that I am happy that I am present today in the university which was established after the name of the great martyr of the world Ms. Benazir Bhutto. The leader of the university is also a female professor, Dr. Nusrat Shah, and she is more than happy that out of all the public universities of Sindh, the Martyr Benazir Bhutto Medical University is the only medical university that organized a seminar on this topic, she added. If every UC of Larkana district plants ten thousand trees, surely one crore trees will be planted in the district, or if every student of the university is obliged to plant one tree, hundreds of trees can be added every year, Vice said while addressing the event. Chancellor Professor Dr. Nusrat Shah thanked Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri and other faculty members from Sindh Agricultural University, Tando Jam and said that we will plant saplings every year but this is the first time that the university is using trees. A seminar has been organized on, our university is a medical university, so we understand that trees are health and more and more trees can make hospitals deserted.
