London, (PR): Former Chairman of PYO UK and President of Kashmir Affairs Europe, Syed Shehzad Haider Kazmi, hosted a dinner in honor of Pakistan’s renowned Naat reciter, Sultan Atiq ur Rehman. Syed Hasnain Kazmi and Syed Daniyal Haider Kazmi (famously known as Bhai Jaan) were also present at the event. Speaking on the occasion, Syed Shehzad Haider Kazmi said that the famous Naat reciter, Sultan Atiq ur Rehman, gained immense popularity in a short period of time. In the field of Naat recitation, Sultan Atiq ur Rehman is highly admired. He further added that Sultan Atiq ur Rehman not only brought innovation to Naat recitation with his unique style of praise, but also ignited the flame of love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in millions of hearts.He said that Sultan Atiq ur Rehman recited both Naats in praise of the Prophet (PBUH) and Manqabat (tributes to the Holy Prophet’s family) in a distinctive style, which was highly appreciated worldwide. He emphasized that the greatest virtue of Naat is that listening to it instills love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the heart, and this love for the Prophet (PBUH) is the foundation of Islam and faith.
Renowned Naat reciter Sultan Atiq ur Rehman, while speaking at the event, said that whatever he has achieved today is due to the prayers and upbringing of his parents. In response to a question about promoting Naat recitation, Sultan Atiq ur Rehman stated that he is striving to promote Naat recitation as much as possible, and for that, establishing Naat academies is essential. He said that as a Naat reciter, he has enlightened people’s hearts and minds with the praise of the Prophet (PBUH). He further explained that in the art of Naat recitation, the importance lies in simple yet excellent poetry and a beautiful voice, and without God’s gift, this is impossible. Good poetry, a beautiful voice, correct pronunciation, and perfect delivery captivate the listener, and the key condition is that the heart must be filled with the love of the Prophet (PBUH). He believes that the primary purpose of Naat recitation is to nurture love for the Prophet (PBUH) in hearts, and it should remain free from commercialism.
