I am writing to bring to your attention the alarming rise in road accidents and traffic rule violations in our area. Many individuals fail to adhere to traffic regulations, resulting in devastating consequences. The primary causes of these accidents are excessive speeding, disregard for traffic rules and signals, and reckless driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The police personnel responsible for enforcing traffic rules are often found to be indifferent and lethargic, engaged in smoking and drug use instead of performing their duties. This lack of enforcement has led to a culture of impunity, further exacerbating the problem. Innocent lives are lost, and many are left injured due to the negligence of drivers and the inaction of authorities. It is imperative that immediate action is taken to address this critical issue. We request the authorities to ensure strict enforcement of traffic rules, increase police patrols and monitoring, implement measures to reduce speeding and reckless driving, and educate the public about traffic safety and responsible driving practices. We urge the police to perform their duties with honesty and dedication, prioritizing the safety and well-being of citizens. It is only through collective efforts that we can prevent further loss of life and ensure safe roads for everyone.
