Neelum, (Parliament Times) : Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq along with General Officer Commanding Major General Muhammad Irfan on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial at Keran.
Pertinently, the martyrs’ memorial has been built with the support of Karen World Kashmir Forum.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Haq and Chairman World Kashmir Forum Haji Rafiq Pardesi unfurled the national flag while General Officer Commanding Major General Muhammad Irfan, Azad Kashmir Information Minister Maulana Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah and Justice R Anwar Mansoor Khan and others were present on the occasion.
Moreover, the function was attended by president Muslim League-N Azad Kashmir chapter Shah Ghulam Qadir, senior minister Colonel (Rtd) Waqar Ahmad Noor, Mian Abdul Waheed, Azhar Sadiq, Dewan Ali Khan Chaghatai, Akbar Ibrahim, Akmal Hussain Sargala, Abdul Majid Khan, bureaucrats, military officials and civil society representatives.
The AJK premier also laid a floral wreath on the martyrs’ memorial while a smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute.
Meanwhile, a special ceremony was organized in connection with the Defense Day. The main feature of the function was a spectacular military parade by a smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Army.
Meanwhile, the Prime minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq arrived here on a two-day visit. During his visit, the PM planted a sapling at Kutan Jagran.
The PM was accompanied by government ministers including Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Mian Abdul Waheed, Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah, Muhammad Akmal Sargala and others.
