Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Punjab Arts Council organized Defence day conference in collaboration with All Pakistan Media Council to pay tribute the martyrs. The conference was presided over by Director of the Arts Council, Sajjad Hussain, while the special guest was the Minister of Transport for Azad Kashmir, Javed Butt. The special guest, Javed Butt, stated that during the 1965 war between India and Pakistan, it was proven that wars can be fought and won when the state’s people and army are united. Pakistan is currently facing various challenges, both internally and externally, for which the Pakistan Army is playing its role in the best possible way. The sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in eradicating terrorism in the country are unparalleled. The soldiers of the armed forces are sacrificing their present for the future of the nation, ensuring the country’s bright future. Director of the Arts Council, Sajjad Hussain, remarked that September 6th is a proud day for the nation and the armed forces of Pakistan. This day reminds us of the martyrs and veterans of the September war and calls for renewing our pledge of loyalty to the defense of our beloved homeland. Historically, September 6th has become a symbol of the bravery, courage, determination, and selflessness of our courageous armed forces. Sardar Khurram, head of the All Pakistan Media Council, said that the nation faces the challenge of defending its survival, freedom, sovereignty, and key national interests. Our freedom, independence, and integrity are at risk. Former Member of the National Assembly, Ayesha Syed, also addressed the conference.
