MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : In order to frustrate any impending resistance on the part of the corrupt mafia including those in the State functioneries with full vigor under prevelant law, Azad Jammu Kashmir Anti-corrption Department has been equipped with required latest arms and ammunition under the prime spirit to eradicate corruption from its,roots, official sources said.
Disclosing this the authorotative sources, told this Correspondent here on Thursday that the state government initiated the step under the vision of Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Chaudhry, who, the sources underlined, believed in ensuring the corruption- free state functioneries besides the society completely.
Thw sources continuesd that in order to assess the quality of purchased new arms and ammunition, a test firing was conducted in the firing butt of Police Lines in AJK’s capital Muzaffarabad on Wednesday.
Director General Anti-Corruption Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain, Superintendent Police Anti-Corruption Mohammad Saleem Durrani, Superintendent Police Reserve Saqib Abbasi, Deputy Superintendent Police Legal Anti-Corruption Arif Majeed, Arif Munir Instructor Amrati, Panchash Hameed Armor & Anti-Corruption Police personnel and Anti-corruption officers and jawans also witnessed the Test fire on this occasion, besides participating in the articipated in firing to check the quality of the purchased arms,and weapons.
Speaking on this occasion, Director General Anti-Corruption Department AJK thanked the government for providing manpower and financial resources to improve the functioning of the Anti-Corruption and Gratification Department.
He reiterated his determination that the Anti-Corruption Department will not suffer any kind of expediency to wipe out corruption from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the Department’s crackdown against the corrupt elements will continue until they are completely eliminated from their roots, he resolved.
The DG AJK Anti-Corruption also emphasized the need of assisting the Netfire training ptograms in line with the needs of the modern age besides making necessary arrangements to this direction. Mukhtar also thanked the police officers of Pakistan for their due assistance for their successful professional testfire programme.
