Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times) : Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has expressed his profound gratitude to the federal government for approving more than 19 billion rupee development projects for Azad Kashmir.
The AJK premier said this while addressing a press conference here today. Speaking on the occasion the PM said that the grant was sanctioned under Rathoa Haryam Bridge project and Out of School Children Program.He said that Jagran hydel power project, which was dysfunctional untill July, would also start working soon.
He said that Youm e Tahaffuz Khatm e Nabuwat (Protecting belief in finality of Prophet Muhammad SAW) would be celebrated at the official level in Azad Kashmir on September 7. The Prime Minister on the occasion stressed the need for protecting people especially the young generation from intellectual chaos. “The spirit of unity and togetherness is required to avoid chaos and anarchy the society”, the PM said.He said that a strong and stable Pakistan was the guarantor for the success of Kashmiris freedom movement.Referring to the subsidized flour and cheap electricity being provided to the people across Azad Kashmir, the PM said, “The facilities enjoyed by the citizens in Azad Kashmir are not available to people elsewhere in Pakistan”, he said.The PM said that being a strong proponent of Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan he would remain stick to this ideology.He said that after the establishment of an independent Public Service Commission and making NTS mandatory for employment the recruitments would be made on merit and in a transparent manner.The Prime Minister said that after proper scrutiny only deserving people would be provided financial assistance under the Social Protection Endowment Fund.
Speaking on the occasion, Government Minister Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir for approving 10 billion for the completion of Rathoa Haryam Bridge project. Government Minister Diwan Ali Khan Chaghtai said that the approval of the Out of School Children Program project would be instrumental in improving the education sector. Senior minister Col. Retd. Waqar Noor, Sardar Javed Ayub, Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim, Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad, Yasir Sultan, Malik Zafar Iqbal, Sardar Muhammad Hussain, Asim Sharif Butt, Ms. Nisaran Abbasi were also present on the occasion.
