Lahore, (PR) : The Commissioner Punjab Employees Social Security (PESSI) conducted a tour of the Faisalabad region and took practical steps for the immediate resolution of workers’ issues. The Commissioner Social Security inspected the Mother and Child Hospital (MNCH), Madina Town, and Kalash Hospital, Medical Centers, and Directorates in detail, evaluating the quality of services and infrastructure.
Commissioner PESSI Mohammad Ali expressed dissatisfaction with the poor condition of the Peoples Colony Medical Center and issued strict instructions for immediate repairs and mandated that the staff wear uniforms. During the visit, the Commissioner met with workers from the Kalash factory, who shared their issues with him. The Commissioner announced the establishment of a complaint cell at the head office for the immediate resolution of workers’ problems. Worker leaders praised the establishment of the complaint cell and the Commissioner’s attention to the issues.
During the visit, Commissioner Mohammad Ali instructed ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service delivery in hospitals, dispensaries, and offices. He inaugurated the water filtration plant at Madina Town Hospital and the operating theater at Kalash Hospital. He visited patients and discussed the facilities provided in hospitals with their families. Noticing the patient congestion at Kalash Hospital, he directed the relevant authorities to take immediate steps for the hospital’s expansion.
The Commissioner reviewed the supply of medicines at hospital medicine stores and checked the attendance and records of doctors and paramedics. He instructed doctors, nurses, and other staff to ensure timely attendance. During his visit to the directorates, he instructed field directors to ensure 100% contribution and expedite the distribution of social security cards to workers.
Under the Plant for Pakistan campaign, the Commissioner PESSI also planted trees in hospitals and committed to a greener Pakistan for future generations. The Commissioner stated that there would be no compromise on the quality of social security service delivery and emphasized that he is monitoring standards through field visits. He assured that the timely resolution of workers’ and their families’ problems would be ensured, and any lapse in their medical treatment would not be tolerated. Medical Advisor Dr. Suhail Aziz, DG Headquarters Azhar Hussain Minhas, SDO, and other relevant officers were also present on this occasion.
