Lahore, (PR) : On the instructions of Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin, strict monitoring of flour bag prices is ongoing across the province. Officers of the Punjab Food Department checked the prices of 10 and 20 kg flour bags of 667 flour brands across Punjab.
In Lahore Division, 118, Rawalpindi 135, and in Gujrat 46 different flour brands’ prices were checked. In Gujranwala Division, 53, Faisalabad 79, and in Sargodha 32 flour brands’ prices were monitored. In Multan Division, 70, Sahiwal 33, DG Khan 35, and in Bahawalpur 66 flour brands’ prices were checked.
Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin said that in Lahore district, a 10 kg flour bag is being sold for Rs. 865, Kasur, Sheikhupura for Rs. 820, and in Nankana Sahib for Rs. 795. In Rawalpindi district, Rs. 875, Attock for Rs. 870, Jhelum for Rs. 850, and in Chakwal for a maximum of Rs. 830.
In Gujranwala, Gujarat, Wazirabad, and Mandi Bahauddin, it is available for Rs. 805, and in Hafizabad and Sialkot for Rs. 795. In Multan, Sahiwal, and Bahawalpur districts, it is being sold for Rs. 790, and in DG Khan for Rs. 770.
Bilal Yasin further said that flour is being sold at fixed prices in all districts, and further steps are being taken to effectively monitor food prices.
