Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times): Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar Haq has said that students’ role was crucial for strengthening the system of the state and highlighting the Kashmir issue in its historical perspective.
While addressing an award and certificate distribution ceremony of internees at Kashmir Policy Research Institute here today, the PM termed educated youth as a greatest asset for the country.”They ( youth) are the future architects of the state”, he said, adding that the educated youth can play an important role in the development of Azad Kashmir and promoting issue of Kashmir through the effective use of digital platforms.
Referring to job seeking opportunities available for the students in the state, the PM said that after establishment of an independent Public Service Commission and NTS system educated youth can get jobs on merit. The Prime Minister said that university level students would get an opportunity to work with the ministers at their relevant ministries.He said that the culture of political interference into the government institutions has been eradicated from Azad Kashmir.” The right to information and e-governance systems are being introduced so that a common citizen can access information”, the PM said.
The Prime Minister said that people in Azad Kashmir fully enjoy civil liberties whereas in Indian Occupied Kashmir the essential fundamental freedoms including the right to freedom of speech and expression, the right to protest and assembly and the right to opinion remain severely restricted.
” India has snatched every right away from Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir”, the PM said. Earlier, the Prime Minister distributed certificates among the internees.The function was attended by senior minister Colonel Retired Waqar Ahmad Noor, Government Ministers Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah, Abdul Majid Khan, Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim, Malik Zafar Iqbal and others.
Meanwhile, while addressing the Board meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell, prime minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq stressed the need for highlighting Kashmir issue both at national and international level.He said that there was a dire need to arrange workshops and seminars at colleges and universities of Azad Kashmir to create awareness amongst the youths regarding the Kashmir issue.” A campaign to highlight human rights violations being committed by Indian occupation forces in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir should be launched through social media and by using other digital platforms”, the PM said. He also stressed on further cementing the age-old historic, religious and cultural relationship between the people of Kashmir and Pakistan.The meeting was attended by members including Chief Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barich, Principal Secretary Zafar Mehmood Khan, Secretary Finance Islam Zeb, Secretary Kashmir Cause, Arts and Languages Wajahat Rashid Baig, Secretary Law, Secretary Sports Ms. Tehbih Nisa and Director Administration Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell.
The Board meeting on this occasion approved supplementary budget of the Liberation Cell for the financial year 2023-24 and estimated budget for the financial year 2024-25.
