    Election of SYALO session 2024-25 holds

    Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : State Youth Assembly Lower House Session 2024-25 election stage has been completed, while three panels participated in the elections. Halima Hafeez from Kashmir Empowerment and Solidarity Panel got 137 votes for Youth Prime Minister and Ch. Muhammad Shakeel got 135 votes for Speaker. While Musharraf Rafiq Nair was elected Deputy Speaker from the Young Democrats panel with 133 votes. Democratic Alliance panel got 4 votes.

    According to the traditions, Mujtaba bin Faiz Farooqi, the candidate of youth prime minister who came second from the Young Democrats panel, was appointed as the opposition leader, who got 127 votes. The election was conducted through the online voting system introduced by the State Youth Assembly.

    The State Youth Assembly has started the session 2024-25 with historic membership. The total number of members in the current assembly is 274. The series of congratulating the winning panels from across the state continues. Chairman State Youth Assembly Dr. Naveed Hassan and General Secretary Abdul Aziz Awan congratulated the Chief Election Commissioner Raja Asad Azad and the members of the Election Commission for conducting fair and transparent elections and thanked them.

    The Chairman State Youth Assembly and the General Secretary congratulated the Youth Prime Minister, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Leader of the Opposition from the winning panels and expressed their commitment that the winning candidates would uphold the traditions to continue their services in the State Youth Assembly.
