Lahore, (PR) : Punjab Governor, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan today visited the farm house of Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain located on Narowal Road. He extended his hearfelt condolence to him over the death of his brother; Member Provincial Assembly, Rana Afzal Hussain. Governor Punjab also offered his heartfelt condolences to Rana Ahmed Atiq Anwar, Member of National Assembly and other members of his family. He said that he equally shares the grief of the bereaved family in this time of sorrow, trouble and difficulty. On this occasion, Member National Assembly of Muslim League-N, Shaista Pervez Malik, Ali Pervez Malik, Sardar Irfan Dogar, Mohsen Shahnawaz Ranjha, Pir Ashraf Rasool, Leader of People’s Party Haji Azizur Rahman Chan, Allama Yusuf Awan and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the political and social services rendered by late Rana Afzal Hussain to the people of his constituency will be remembered forever. He prayed that may Allah Almighty grant him a place in Janat-ul-Firdus and give patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Later, Chairman Islamic Ideological Council, Mufti Raghib Hussain Naimi called on Punjab Governor, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at Governor House Lahore. In the meeting, the president of PPP Ulema Mashaikh Wing Punjab and member of Islamic Ideological Council Allama Muhammad Yosuf Awan and others were present.
Speaking on this occasion, Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said Islam has laid emphasis on love and tolerance and by following these orders, the society can be made a cradle of peace . He said that it is the national duty of the scholars to highlight the true face of Islam and play their role in inter-faith harmony. Governor Punjab further said that everyone should make individual and collective efforts to improve the society.
