Hyderabad : Muhammad Farooq Shaikhani, President, Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry, congratulated the business community and the people of Pakistan on the 77th Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Addressing a ceremony held at the Chamber Secretariat on this occasion, he said that every year, the dawn of Independence Day brings new rays of hope and the Pakistani nation celebrates this day with great enthusiasm and unique fervor. He emphasized that we should celebrate Independence Day with renewed determination to transform the motherland into a cradle of peace, progress and prosperity, as envisioned by the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with a strong sense of national and patriotic spirit.
Farooq Shaikhani further stated that freedom is one of the blessings of Almighty Allah and no amount of gratitude is enough for this blessing. The Chamber President also expressed concern about the growing despair among the youth due to the country’s economic situation, leading them to seek their future abroad. He stressed the importance of keeping hope alive and said that this is the greatest message of this year’s Independence Day.
Shaikhani remarked that even though 77 years have passed since Pakistan’s creation, the country has not yet achieved the economic status that nations liberated after Pakistan have attained. Today is a day to renew our pledge to the Founder of Pakistan and our ancestors that we will work diligently for the prosperity and development of Pakistan. August 14th holds great significance in fostering national thought and patriotic sentiments.
In conclusion, he urged all members to participate in the plantation drive to make Pakistan green and prosperous, with each individual planting at least one tree. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the members singing the national anthem with green flags in hand. A cake-cutting ceremony also took place. Senior Vice President Dr. Muhammad Ismail Farouk Nami, Vice President Muhammad Yaseen Khilji, Former Presidents Doulat Ram Lohana and Muhammad Akram Ansari, executive committee members, conveners and a large number of general body members were also present at the event.
