MIRPUR ( AJK ), (Parliament Times) : Azad Jammu Kashmir Housing & Physical Planning Minister Chaudhry Yasir Sultan has said that since journalism is the fourth pillar of the state, Kashmiri journalists affiliated with national and regional press have important responsibilities highlighting significance of early settlement of Kashmir problem according to the wishes of Jammu and Kashmir state people.
The minister expressed these views while talking to media during visit to Kashmir Press Club here on Sunday, where he had gone to extend congratulations to the newly elected office bearers of the press club.
Referring to Kashmir Press Club Mirpur, he said Mirpur’s journalist community has always performed an exemplary role which was always layded by all the citizens.
“The consensus and unity of the journalism community is of great help in solving numerous problems”, he,said adding that yhae issues of extension of Kashmir Press Club Mirpur building’s construction and journalist colony roads including face-lifting of the press club building, will be taken for early implementation of the proposed project by the government.
The KPC Mirpur President Syed Abid Hussain Shah, General Secretary Raja Sohrab Khan and all other elected office bearers including colleagues assured of their full cooperation.
On this occasion a large of members of the press club welcomed the minister and members of his entourage.
