South Waziristan : Like the whole of Khyber Pakhtunkhowa, a big ceremony was held in Police Line Wana on the 4th of August in connection with Police Martyrs’ Day in Police Line Wana by the Police Department in the tribal district of South Waziristan Lower.
Police Martyrs’ Day was observed in Wana with great devotion and respect
District Police Officer South Waziristan Lower Farman Ullah Khan was the Chief Guest of the martyrs function.
On this occasion Assistant Commandant SWS Wana, Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan along with the heirs and children of police martyrs participated in large numbers.
Circle SDPOs, SHOs of various police stations, tribal elders and journalists participated in the Martyrs’ Day function.
The participants of the event paid tribute to the policemen for their services.
On this occasion, DPO Farman Ullah Khan said while addressing the ceremony, that the sacrifices of police martyrs are eternal, the peace that exists today is definitely thanks to these sacrifices.
He said the police martyrs sacrificed their yesterday for the nation’s today and have attained the highest status of martyrdom.
He said, there is no substitute for their sacrifice, but we pay tribute and respect to them.
DPO said that the atmosphere of peace that exists in the country today is behind the eternal sacrifices of police martyrs, while the policemen and officers of Lower South Waziristan laid down their precious lives fighting terrorists and anti-social elements, and embraced martyrdom, and their eternal sacrifices will always be remembered.
Later Military officials and District administration officers paid tribute to the sacrifices of police martyrs in their speeches.
In the ceremony, DPO Farman lah along with other officers distributed gifts among the heirs and children of the police martyrs.
In the end, collective special prayers were also asked for the reward of martyrs and elevation of ranks and peace and order in the country.
