Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : “Honoring th Legacy of Courage: Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmed, the author of more than 50 books on Quaid-e-Azam and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, highlighted Fatima Jinnah’s bravery and dedication to the Pakistan Movement on her 131st birth anniversary.”
A special ceremony was held at Anjuman Faizul Islam to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, the sister of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and a pioneering figure in the Pakistan Movement.
The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Riaz Ahmed, President of Anjuman Faizul Islam, and attended by prominent figures including Colonel (R) Mian Jameel Athar, Group Captain (R) Pervaiz Akhtar, Professor Niaz Erfan, and Naeem Akram Qureshi.
Speakers at the event highlighted Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah’s instrumental role in the Pakistan Movement, praising her dedication, perseverance, and unwavering support for her brother’s vision. They emphasized her contributions to the country’s history, her advocacy for women’s rights, and her legacy as a symbol of national unity.
Professor Dr. Riaz Ahmed, said that Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah was the source of strength and inspiration for Quaid-e-Azam during the struggle for Pakistan’s creation. He praised her role in mobilizing women, providing medical care and rehabilitation to migrants, and solving post-partition challenges.
Other speakers, including Colonel (R) Mian Jameel Athar, Professor Niaz Erfan, and Naeem Akram Qureshi, also paid tribute to Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah’s services and legacy.
The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer and a pledge to follow in Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah’s footsteps in serving the nation.
