Lahore, (PR) : A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain at TEVTA Secretariat in which the progress of ongoing development schemes and various features of CM Youth Skills Development Program were reviewed. It was decided not to establish any new institution without improving the existing institutions.
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said that TEVTA’s institutions and labs will be aligned with global requirements. Chaudhry Shafay Hussain said that labs should be upgraded with the cooperation of universities like UMT, while biometric attendance of students and staff should also be arranged in TEVTA institutes. The provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce said that special attention should be paid to the future of microchip manufacturing. Arabic, German, Korean, Japanese and Spanish language courses should be started in TEVTA institutes and the curriculum of TEVTA institutes should be prepared according to the requirements of global market. Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce also directed to improve TEVTA’s website. Secretary Industry and Commerce Ehsan Bhutta, COO Qurata Al Ain, Senior DG Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Senior Economic Advisor Javed Iqbal and concerned officers attended the meeting.
