Srinagar : The Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) organized an important and emergency meeting in Srinagar. With its Secretary-General Nasib u Din presiding, spokesperson Dr. Sidiq Saleh also participated in the session. During this emergency meeting, all the participants strongly condemned the use of insulting and provocative remarks against the Prophet of Islam by a student studying at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), terming it unacceptable. The leading and executive members in the meeting expressed that the veneration of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) is dearer to Muslims than their own lives, and such blasphemous statements will not be tolerated by the people of Jammu and Kashmir in general, and the Muslims living around the world in particular. They added that Muslims will not hesitate to lay down their lives to protect the glory and sanctity of the Prophet.
JKSM strongly condemned this incident and said that the people involved in this incident enjoyed the support of the puppets ‘so-called occupational authorities. All the participants demand that this insolence be taken seriously and the guilty be punished. Otherwise, a state-wide protest will be launched against the said blasphemous incident. The spokesman has appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to organize a protest against this blasphemy outside the local mosques after Friday prayers on December 1st in honor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), register a peaceful protest against the mischievous culprits’ who hatched this mischievous act.
Spokesman JKSM further added that Hindu extremists and mischievous anti-Muslim Hindus should refrain from such shameful incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in general and in India in particular in the future meetings observed. Serious efforts should be made to prevent such incidents, otherwise, it will be impossible for Muslims to control the anger caused by such unwanted acts.
