MIRPUR (AJK) (Parliament Times): A Pakistani / AJK doctors delegation of Kazakhstan Medical Alumni Forum led by Dr Nasir Laiq Gul on Saturday called on Sayasat Nurbek Minister for Higher Education & Science Republic of Kazakhstan at Ministry in Astana, Kazakhstan and discussed matters of bilateral Cooperation for exchange of professional know-how and the delivery of quality education to Pakistani, AJK students studying in Kazakhstan. The Vice Minister Mr Talgat Koshaeluov ,Adviser Mr Bolat Aitkhan* were also accompanying the Minister, our Special Jammu and Kashmir Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports from Kazakhstan.
Dr Nasir Laiq Gul expressed his gratitude to Ambassador of Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Mr Erzhin Kestafin, First Secretary Olzhas Alipbaev ,President Forum Prof Dr Iqbal Chaudhary for launching this mission to exchange and promote education, science & Technology through bilateral cooperation between the two countries .
He also thanked Mr Sayasat Nurbek Minister for Higher Education & Science and his colleagues for the grand hospitality extended to the Pakistani including AJK doctors delegation.
Dr Nasir Laiq Gul on behalf of his Forum lauded the support of the staff of Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Astana headed by Ambassador Mr Noman Bashir Bhatti.Earlier Dr Gohar Latif Kalis in his detailed presentation to the executives, highlighted the purpose of the visit and identification of areas of potential for both nations with future suggestions.
Dr Ihsan Ullah* expressed his comments on visiting Kazakhstan depicting utmost opportunities in Science & Technology .
The Ministry reaffirmed that all medical universities in Kazakhstan are fully independent and have authorisation to sign treaty with any university or institution of Pakistan in terms of scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students and can hold fellowship programnes and crash courses as well .
The minister emphasised the future need of Kazakhstan in Agriculture ,water conservation ,artificial intelligence and research where Pakistani nationals can avail extensive opportunities and he assured his cooperation to ease this step involving all stakeholders .
The Kazakhstan Ministry revealed that Kazakhstan was already offering OIC scholarships for Pakistani citizens where there was dire need to make people of Pakistan aware as most of them go vacant yearly, according to the statistics. A future mechanism was agreed to utilise the diplomatic channel to propagate OIC scholarship opportunities.
The participants also agreed to continue this lesson in future to expedite the goals for benefit of citizens of both countries . En
