ATTOCK : Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while accelerating the process of departmental promotion of police officials has said that the police force is going to be promoted purely on merit and rules and regulations, every officer and official who is eligible for promotion is being given his departmental right without delay. A police spokesman of Punjab Police said on Monday that IG Punjab said that in return for all measures of welfare and promotion, the department only requires the best performance of professional duties, so all the promoted officers should deliver the benefits of this promotion to the general public in the form of best services and more effective duty. These views were expressed by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while addressing the officers who were promoted to the rank of Inspector in rank pinning ceremony held at the Central Police Office.The ceremony of pinning of rank to newly promoted inspectors was held at the Central Police Office in which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar pinned the ranks to 38 inspectors of Faisalabad region who recently got promotions. Additional IGs and RPO Faisalabad and other officers were also accompanied by IG Punjab. Families, children and relatives of promoted inspectors especially attended the function. IG Punjab congratulated the relatives and friends of the inspectors on the departmental development and also spoke to the children. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, while instructing the officers directed to work harder than before, said that departmental promotion and increase in rank actually lead to an increase in professional responsibilities, all officers should take on the responsibilities of inspector rank with more hard work and dedication. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that be the helpers of the oppressed against the oppressors and speed up the process of eliminating organized crime. IG Punjab directed that special attention should be given to crime control as well as provision of policing services to the citizens. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, Additional IG Welfare Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara, RPO Faisalabad Dr. Abid Khan, DIG Establishment Dr. Inam Waheed Khan, DIG IT Ahsan Younas, DIG Establishment Zeeshan Asghar, AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah and other officers were also present in the ceremony. Police spokesman further said that Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met the bright students and talented daughters of police officers who have achieved success in the field of education at the Central Police Office. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar encouraged the talent of young female students and said that the daughters of police officers are completing their education in an exemplary way with their talent and hard work. IG Punjab said that Punjab Police has taken significant steps including launch of foreign scholarships for the education of children of the force, have inked MOUs with renowned educational institutions, Punjab Police’s education portal was also launched, on the police education portal sabak.pk, Punjab Police Academy and other useful educational websites have been put together for students convenience. IG Punjab further said that the police education portal will soon be available for the common citizens as well. He said that Four students including Unaiza Hassan d/o HC Syed Hassan Raza Lahore District, Eiman Khan d/o Mr. Amir Khan, PHP Post Head Bikaini, Muzaffargarh, D.G. Khan, Zainab Zafar d/o Shaheed Zafar Lahore and Afshan Shehbaz were among those who met the IGP Dr. Usman. While talking to the four daughters IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar inquired about their education and future goals. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that despite the limited resources, the outstanding success of the daughters of police officers in the field of education is highly commendable. Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police is playing every possible role in the education and training of these talented girls. Their parents were also present in the meeting, who are serving as constables and head constables in the police department. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Praised to the hard work and dedication of parents in the education and training of girls.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that the health welfare of the police force is the first priority, for which measures will be continued on a priority basis with the effective use of available resources. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released more than 38 lakh rupees in connection with the ongoing measures for the health welfare of the force. According to the details, on the instructions of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, for medical expenditure, funds has been released to officers and officials of various districts including Lahore. Constable Tariq Mehmood of Lahore Police, who lost his leg in a traffic accident, was given 03 lakh rupees for treatment. Naseem Bibi, wife of Shaheed Constable Khadim Hussain, was given 250,000 rupees for back bone treatment, driver constable Muhammad Abbas was given 200,000 rupees for eye surgery, while the remaining amount was given to 17 other police officials for medical expenses for treatment of various ailments. The committee chaired by Additional IG Welfare Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gada had sent the above mentioned cases to IG Punjab for release of funds.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the well-known consultant doctors in the Police Welfare Hospital Qila Gujjar Singh are providing the best treatment facilities to the police personnel and their families on a daily basis. Agreements have been inked with the best cancer, liver and kidney treatment hospitals including Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute. Dr. Usman Anwar added that after the health screening of the entire force, vaccination and treatment are continuing without interruption in all the districts of the province, Punjab police spokesman added.
