Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : Central leader of MQM Azad Kashmir, former parliamentary leader, and former Minister of Transport and Tourism Muhammad Tahir has said that the youth are our valuable capital, and the government should take measures on an emergency basis to end unemployment, unemployment in Azad Kashmir has become a major problem which is creating frustration among the youth. Talented and capable youths are moving abroad, while some who are fed up with unemployment are turning to crime.
The government should realize all these problems while talking to a delegation of youth, he said that unfortunately in the past the government has not paid attention to economic development and industrial development in Azad Kashmir.
There is no plan to increase employment opportunities. Since there is no private sector, the entire burden is on the government. The government can not give government jobs to every youth. For this, industrial development and self-employment schemes should be considered, he said.
Business opportunities should be provided to the youth under the self-employment scheme. Especially overseas Kashmiris should be attracted towards investment by giving incentives so that the state is economically self-sufficient and youth can get employment opportunities. he said.
