Rawalpindi, Parliament Times) : Provincial Minister of Primary and
Secondary Healthcare and Population Welfare Dr. Jamal Nasir has said that the private sector has a special importance in providing public health facilities and the provincial government is providing due support to private hospitals for the provision of the best medical facilities to the people. He said that the hospitals and clinics working in the private sector providing medical facilities at affordable rates to the middle class are bearing the burden of the government and the government will provide them with all kinds of protection.
He said this on the occasion of his visit to Al Khidmat Razi Hospital Rawalpindi. On
this occasion, provincial minister Dr Jamal Nasir was also given a detailed briefing regarding the hospital. He visited all the departments of the hospital and inquired about the facilities.
Provincial Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir praised the hospital management for providing excellent
medical facilities and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Dr. Jamal Nasir said that the Punjab Health Commission is reviewing the formal
framework on how the government can be helpful in providing facilities to private hospitals and other legal aspects. He said that all possible support will be given to the hospitals that provide high quality medical services to the public at affordable rates.
Dr. Jamal Nasir said that Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi is paying special attention
to the medical sector and important steps have been taken to improve their performance as per mandate. He said that the provision of facilities to the public has been improved by proper monitoring of the hospitals and by using the available resources in the best manner, which is an exemplary achievement.
