Sahiwal, (Parliament Times): Director Labor Welfare Sahiwal Syed Muhammad Haider has said that children are the future, capital, and asset of Pakistan, and labor is a major problem of the country which affects millions of children and sustainable development. There is a big obstacle on the side. He said that underage child labor is a legal offense and several measures are being taken to prevent it. He said that under the direction of the Secretary of Labor and Human Resource Punjab, teams have been formed in the three districts of the Sahiwal division to check the various factories, workshops, hotels, shops, and kilns for the prevention of child labor. are doing He further informed that during the checking, 17 FIRs have been registered under the Child Labor Act at various places. He said that to eradicate child labor, various walks have also been organized for the awareness of traders along with keeping in constant contact with the Sahiwal Chamber, Bhatta Owners Association, and Literacy Department. He said that to secure the future of children, the campaign to end child labor will be continued to ensure its complete elimination from the Sahiwal division and to bring children towards education.
