Islamabad,  (Parliament Times) : FAPUASA and APUBTA, on the instructions of the NASC of Qadir Mandokhail, have come to a mutual commitment regarding the promotion policy with HEC. During a meeting held on July 24, representatives from APUBTA (All Public Universities BPS Teachers Association) and FAPUASA, Federation of All Pakistan universities staff Association, reached an agreement to submit the draft promotion statutes for BPS university teachers. This joint effort involved collaboration between HEC, FAPUASA, and APUBTA, and the draft statutes were shared with stakeholders in December 2021. The meeting was attended by Mr. Nasir Shah Khattak, the HEC officer DG, QAD, along with members from FAPUASA and APUBTA, including Prof Dr. Amir, Prof Dr. Rizwan Kokab, Dr. Faiz ur Rahim, Dr. Zafar, Dr. Faiz Rahim, President APUBTA Dr. Sami ur Rahman, GS Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad, Prof Dr. Asif Jan, Dr. M. Iqbal, Dr. Akhtar Hussain, and Mr. Jawad.

FAPUASA President, Dr. Kaleem Bareech, played a pivotal role in supporting the BPS faculty and emphasized the approval of the draft statutes. APUBTA extends its gratitude to HEC Chairman, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, and Executive Director, Dr. Shaista Sohail, for their sincere commitment to submitting the draft statutes for commission approval in the upcoming meeting. The agreement, vetted by the HEC Chairman and ED, was jointly signed by APUBTA President and GD Nasir Shah.

It is expected that the Chairman NASC, Mr. Qadir Mandokhail, will direct HEC for an urgent commission meeting with a single point agenda in rescheduled meeting on NASC on July 26, 2023, since today’s meeting was postponed due to a flight cancellation. Chairman Qadir Mandokhail had instructed HEC to resolve the issue in the morning and present it in the meeting at 04:00 pm without fail.
