TANK: Sector Commander Frontier Corps South Brigadier Suhail Bajwa chaired an important meeting at Captain Sikandar Shaheed Frontier Corps Camp with regards to arrangements for security plan of Muharram-ul-Haram.
The meeting was attended all district officers of various departments and institutions including Deputy Commissioner Tank Muhammad Shoib and Acting District Police Officer Tank Nasir Khan.
The meeting was also attended by notables, elders and religious leaders of both Suni and Shia sects.
The meeting was attended by Suni religious scholars including Maulana Muhammad Saddiq Khatib, Pir Saleem Shah, Molla Abdul Rehman, Qari Nasrullah, Hakeem Suna Khan, Maulana Gul Muhammad and Maulana Khan Muhammad.
While from the Shia sect, Nazr Abbas, Gulfam Khan and Nazim Ashraf, Syed Mazhar Abass, Muhammad Aslam, Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, Shahbaz Ali, Syed Hanif Shah, Fazl Hussain, Qasim Ali and Shafqat Ali.
On this occasion, Sector Commander South Brigadier Suhail Bajwa said that all the Law Enforcement Agencies will ensure fool proof security during Muharram.
He said that Pakistan Army, FC South, Police, all the law enforcement agencies and the district administration will not hesitate to make any sacrifice to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property during Muharram.
Sector Commander South said that it is a heavy responsibility on the people and scholars belonging to all schools of thoughts to promote brotherhood and maintain peace during Muharram.
He said that the religious leaders of both sects are playing their national role in maintaining peaceful atmosphere and cooperating with LEAs, the district and police administration.
He said that Pakistan Army and FC South will fully cooperate with police and district administration for a peaceful Muharram processions.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shoaib and Acting DPO briefed the participants about the security arrangements to be taken for Muharram and said that the arrangements should be finalized during Muharram.
He said that all the resources will be utilized for this while a control room will also be established in the DC office and 7FF to monitor all the situations where the situation of mourning processions and other security matters will be reviewed.
He also asked leaders of all the sects to ensure home departments code of ethics and other SOPs and also remain in touch with district administration to maintain peace and religious harmony.
At the end of the meeting, the suggestions given by the religious leaders of both sects were welcomed.
