ATTOCK: Provincial Secretary Mineral Department Punjab Mr. Babar Aman Babar on Wednesday while chairing the meeting of bidding process of mineral auction in Attock has said that first ever in the history the five year contract of lime stone blocks was awarded at highest rates of Rs.1.5 billion through transparent and judicious open auction. The auctioned lime stones were kept redundant under the mineral department Attock since long. Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Mineral Department Punjab Mr. Babar Aman Babar has said that the mineral department was pushed towards the right direction of development after outcome of the campaign launched by the Punjab Government against the eradication of corruption and corrupt practices from the province. He said that the reflection of fair competitive bidding of lime stone blocks was the objective of the Punjab Government . Secretary Mr. Babar Aman Babar further said that the price of lime stone blocks offered by the bidders through open auction was 172 % higher than the reserved price. The Secretary Mineral Babar Aman Babar and Director General Mineral Raja Mansoor Ahmed has also lauded the performance of the auction committee. The auction committee was headed by General Assistant Revenue Attock Ms. Nadia Perveen while Assistant Director Mineral Department Attock Mr. Farqan Ahmed was the Secretary Auction Committee.
