Bagh,(Parliament Times): Protest series continued in Kashmir under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir against upcoming G20 summit in disputed territory in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir(IIOJ&K). According to details, large number of people gathered in Bagh city of Poonch division while chanting “Boycott Boycott G20 Boycott” “Indian tyrants, Leave Jammu and Kashmir” besides holding banners and placards stated slogans against Human Rights violations in IIOJ&K. Protestors also took out rally from Zaman Chowk to Sajjad Shaheed Chowk.
Speaking on the occasion, speakers said that there is no status of the G20 meeting in the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir and India is trying to use the international forum to achieve military objectives in the disputed state. Speakers said that India is trying to achieve its political and military goals by holding the G20 summit in disputed state. “A state from which India has stripped its identity and basic human rights from its citizens, a country that has been using deadly attacks, torture, arrests, fake encounters, pellet gun attacks and the worst use of black laws as a weapon of war on innocent Kashmiri citizens for the past three decades”, the stated the plight of IIOJ&K. “A G20 meeting hosted by such a country in a war-torn state would be the worst example of supporting the oppressor against the oppressed”, they added.
The speakers said that India has already tortured millions of people in Srinagar city by deploying thousands of soldiers and commandos and has severely paralyzed the life system. They said that by holding this summit, India is trying to mislead the world about the true reality of the Kashmir issue. They maintained that Kashmiri people are not interested in the proposed summit, so the G20 countries should boycott it. While talking about UNSC resolutions, they said that the G20 meeting hosted by an aggressor country in a disputed state is illegal according to its disputed status as per UNSC resolutions, so other countries including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia and China should boycott the meeting in Kashmir and reject the Indian military killing and occupation of innocent Kashmiris.
They demanded G20 members to boycott summit in disputed state and stand with humanity and safeguard the Human Rights of people living in IIOJ&K. Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim, Muhammad Shafi Kashmiri, Irshad Ahmed Butt, Dawood Ayub, Raja Abdul Hafeez, Muhammad Latif Lone, Ch. Muhammad Altaf, Chaudhary Aziz, Jahanzaib Mir, Tahir Ahmad Abbasi, Shaukat Taimur, Akseer Awan, Ch. Amanullah Mani, Khawaja Saif ud Din and others were also present on the occasion.
