Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times): On the call of Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Kashmir President and former Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, fierce protests against the arrest of Imran Khan were held across Azad Kashmir. Workers in different areas blocked the roads by burning tires. Loud sloganeering against the PDM government in Muzaffarabad, Abbaspur, Tatta Pani, Kotli, Hajira, Muzaffarabad, Rawalkot, Bhimbar, Mirpur, Palindri, Neelum and other places took place. PTI workers responded to the call of their party Chairman. PTI held a huge protest in favour of Imran Khan. People came out on the streets across Kashmir and expressed solidarity with Imran Khan. The workers also condemned the attempt to arrest Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi. Previously the president of Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Kashmir in Islamabad Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi attempt failed and the Islamabad High Court stopped Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi from being arrested.
Former Prime Minister and President Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi said in his statement on this occasion, “I am neither afraid of arrest nor of jail. The group of PDM wants the situation of the country to deteriorate, the government itself is taking the situation in this direction,”.PDM has got tired of the popularity of Imran Khan and in this tiredness, the PDM group has resorted to high tactics and wants the situation of the country to deteriorate, he said. The treatment done to Imran Khan yesterday has damaged the soft image of Pakistan in the whole world, while the Pakistani and Kashmiri community living around the world protested to express solidarity with Imran Khan, he added. Rulers should be smart, Pakistani institutions should not be brought before the people or should be contested in the political arena.
