ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the maintainability of the petition seeking stoppage of proceedings regarding 121 cases against Imran Khan and PTI.
A single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Aamir Farooq took up the case for hearing Tuesday.
Barrister Sultan Safdar appeared in the court on behalf of Imran Khan.
The counsel for Imran Khan told the court 127 FIR are lodged against Imran Khan as per record.
The court inquired are 127 cases registered in all over Pakistan. You presented record of 127 FIRs in Lahore High Court (LHC). This impression will go that LHC or IHC are doing nothing.
I will issue the same order what LHC has issued, You should talk to the extent of only Islamabad. You should talk about the cases in LHC which pertain to Lahore. Don’t do duplication here.
The court reserved judgment on maintainability of the petition.
