Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times): The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development of Punjab, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, has directed that all the administrative bodies should make a model of Rawalpindi city together. Doors should be installed at the entrances of the city and they should be kept clean. Flour distribution should be made clean and transparent. The convenience of the public should be taken care of. He expressed these thoughts during his visit to Rawalpindi while addressing a meeting of the heads of various departments of the local government and Rawalpindi Waste Management Company. On this occasion, Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hasan Cheema, Professor Sajjad Qamar, and others were present. Local Government Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad said that the administration should work together with the traders’ association and citizens to eliminate the encroachments. The biggest problem is governance and the intention must be clear to improve it. He said, “we are digitizing the birth, death, and marriage certificate through the municipal assistant”.Every citizen will have these facilities at home. Citizens will be able to register their complaints on the toll-free number and a system for immediate redressal of these complaints has been made.He said that the Punjab government is continuing the process of free distribution of flour worth millions of rupees for low-income citizens. And this is a big initiative. They are improving the supply of flour. Special attention has been paid to the quality of water. While talking to the journalists, he said that he has directed to solve the problems of cleaning, sanitation, and illegal encroachments on a priority basis. The report of the committee on the issue of illegal buildings will also be submitted soon. Municipalities Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad also had a detailed meeting with the Rawalpindi Commissioner and reviewed the affairs of the city.
