Caretaker CM Punjab makes surprise visit to free flour distribution point on Wahdat Road
LAHORE: Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi made a surprise visit to a free flour distribution point on Wahdat Road late at night.
Women, present outside the distribution point, complained about their difficulties adding that they had to return the next day or two for the flour without any assurance that they would receive it. The CM took the women to a verification counter and completed the process. The women praised CM Naqvi for his efforts as he handed out flour to them.
The CM inquired about the arrangements from individuals who raised concerns about their CNICs not being verified despite receiving an eligibility message. He reassured them that the issue was being addressed by the Punjab Information Technology Board and NADRA. Additionally, he gave orders to improve the lighting arrangement and emphasized that all eligible citizens, at the distribution point, should receive free flour.
The CM highlighted that this package, jointly offered by the federal and Punjab governments, is historic and he is daily monitoring it.
During his visit, the CM conducted a thorough review of the distribution arrangements, assessed the distribution of free flour, and inspected the process of verifying CNICs.
