Excise & Taxation Officer Attock offered taxpayers to file their property & token taxes through E-Pay on website

ATTOCK: Excise and Taxation Officer Attock Mr. Zafar Ishaq on Tuesday while introducing various incentives for the taxpayers has offered to file their property and token taxes through E-Pay on website with the exemption of 5% in lumpsum following the standing instructions of the Punjab government. This he said during his special public announcement made here in his office on Tuesday. He said that now taxpayers could deposit their taxes availing the facility of calculator on the website of Excise Department. He asked all the taxpayers to clear their liabilities being a civilized citizen failing which their commercial properties will be sealed under 16 of Property Tax Act 1958. Meanwhile, their property will also be kept under seal till clearing of their outstanding taxes for which the defaulters will be held responsible. The Excise and Taxation Officer Attock also appealed to the owners of the vehicles to get their motorbikes and other vehicles registered or transferred in person without the involvement of any agent or tout. He also warned all the officials of the excise department to fulfil their official obligations and avoid unnecessary hurdles in the process otherwise they will be proceeded against in case of any complaint, he added.
