ZHOB, (Parliament Times) : The District Education department formally launched a campaign to enroll nine thousand children for the upcoming academic year 2023 in public sector schools across
the district.
Addressing a press conference District Education Officer Lal Jan Musakhail said that
education was the fundamental right of every child and under article 25-A, providing
free and compulsory education to children aged 5-16 was the responsibility of the
government.

Asadullah Mardanzai, Coordinator UNICEF Education Support Programme Razziq Jan
Kakar, DDO Ajab Khan Kakar and President Government Teachers Association Fateh
Khan Mandokhail were also present on the occasion. A banner displayed behind the
officers reads: ‘Every child in school’, asking the parents to enroll their children at the
government-run schools.
EDO Lal Jan Musakhail said all-out efforts would be made to enroll the maximum
number of children at schools. He asked the parents to send their children to schools,
allowing them to unfold their dreams, talent and desires through education.
'In order to increase the enrollment ratio at government-run schools, the department
has kicked-off enrollment campaign for the new academic year 2023 in every nook and
corner of the district,' adding 'the campaign aims at creating awareness regarding the
importance of education, improving literacy rate and maximum enrollment of children
in government-run schools,” the officer added.
ESP Coordinator Razziq Jan Kakar on the occasion said that under UNICEF-funded ESP
project free books are being distributed among the students at cluster level. Furniture,
sitting mat, reading-writing material, uniform and other essential items will be provided
to schools soon.
He appealed to the parents to enroll their children and urged the community members
to play their key role in persuading the teachers to ensure their presence at schools.
