The Grand Jirga of Dere Mehsud

Tank, South Waziristan : The Grand Jirga of Dere Mehsud, many political and social personalities of the Mehsud nation, Tehsil Chairman and members of elected local bodies, government officials, national leaders and youth participated in the Grand Jirga of several Ragzai headquarters.
Addressing the Jirga, Haji Saeed Anwar, Advocate Sher Pau, Arif Zaman Barki, Haji Irfanuddin and others said that the unelected provincial government’s notification for the construction of the headquarters for Upper Waziristan has caused serious differences in the Mehsud nation due to the issuance of several ragzais by Spain. The victim has been divided into two parts. Addressing the Jirga, the speakers said that in most of the districts, the headquarters are located almost in the geographical area of ??the districts, but an unsuitable place has been chosen for the construction of the headquarters of Upper Waziristan, which causes serious concern among the people of the area.
The participants of the jirga unanimously decided that a grand jirga of all Mehsud tribes will be held in the political compound on next Tuesday i.e. 7th/7th March in which all the elected representatives, MOF, MAVA and all political social organizations and personalities participated. The invitation has been given so that the issue can be resolved through mutual cooperation and consensus by choosing a place for constructing the headquarters of Upper Waziristan.
